Changes to the Minnesota Reader

You've been sending notes to us about our interface, and we've made some initial changes--with more to come--in response to your suggestions.

First, voting. Not many of you like the fact that you have to log in to vote. So we did two things: stories are now rated as "popular" by how many votes were cast for them, but also by how many times their headline was clicked. In other words, you can still log in to vote, but just by clicking a headline to read a story, you're casting a vote, too (of a slightly different type).

Second, logging in. We've set up our login page so that you can log in using your Facebook account. Just click the "User/Login link" and when the page loads, click on the "Connect With Facebook" image to login with your Facebook.com account.
