Residents who pay water utility bills to the city of Farmington should keep their eyes open for a letter from the city in the next few months.

Election season is going to start early in the Farmington School District.
Nine candidates have filed for this fall's election, enough to trigger a Sept. 9 primary election to narrow the field.

Highway 3 at the intersection of 190th Street closed at 7 a.m., Tuesday July 22 for the construction of a roundabout. The closure will be in place through September 30.

The final week of the regular season was a microcosm of the entire summer for the Farmington VFW baseball team: Struggle getting into the win column in tournaments, then take out that frustration by posting football scores on unsuspecting South Suburban League foes.

We had our doubts when the Farmington School Board announced plans to require a primary election in the event a large crowd of candidates filed for this year's election.

There will be a community meal at 5:30 p.m. July 24 at Farmington Lutheran Church, 22120 Akin Road, Farmington. The meal is free but a free will offering is accepted. All are welcome.
