A few ‘‘die-hard’’ muskie anglers continue to work the Garrison end with some success, as a couple of 50-inch fish were caught last weekend. Most of the shorelines, bays, and harbors now have a skim of ice, ending any opportunities to fish open water.
LAKE OF THE WOODS
Catching walleyes remains an option on the Rainy River, but shoreline ice is limiting boat traffic. Most bays and creek inlets are now covered with a thin layer of ice, so most resorts and anglers are preparing for the upcoming winter fishing season.
